Indeed they have brought grand spectacles, but simple pastimes should still be cherished all the same, especially if technology and/or electricity (what video games, computers & many other electronic devices are created by & run on). But yes, we will definitely get your feet wet, figuratively speaking, so you know both elements well.
Oh, something just occurred to me. How come you have such a stocky chest as a wolf or other canine would? I am fascinated by this since foxes generally have a lanky build in the chest. Hopefully that doesn't come off rude. It is a good look for you. Just it's not something that I have ever seen.

Lester: That is comforting. I had heard rumors of the new marvel of harnessed electricity, but it was nothing anyone I knew had seen personally at the time. That will probably take some getting used to. What do you think we should explore first?
*his hand goes to his chest and he gives a sorrowful smile* No offense taken, my friend. I believe it is just another deformity of my figure caused by the spell. It seems foxes and men were not made to blend seamlessly, and my body could not choose either shape so it became something else entirely. Of course, that is just a hypothesis of mine. I do not know enough about magic to be able to answer with any certainty.

~gives you a reassuring pat on the chest~ Well, either way, we're going to start with the board game, Parcheesy, as far as old school pastime games go, and then maybe we'll take a look at some games from the Atari era of video games on my electronic tablet (it's pretty much a mobile touchscreen computer), but only if you feel up to seeing some of what has been produced on a technological level.
Lester: That all sounds grand! I would love to try this Parcheesy. Is it difficult to master? And you mention a computer... I am not familiar with it. I imagine it does as the name implies, but if it is indeed a computation device how does it create games out of numbers? I am sorry. I am bombarding you with questions. There seems to be much that I need to learn.
No, Parcheesy is not difficult to master at all. Very easy to pick up on how to play. Basically you have to try to get all four of your game pieces to the center of the board, but the catch is that you can send other peoples' pieces back to their starting point (and they can do the same to you) by landing/jumping their game pieces. Plus, there are also gray spaces on the board that are safe spots, which prevent you from getting jumped. Pretty easy to play, and a lot of fun too, particularly if you have four players. But it can still be fun with two.
As far as how a computing device makes game out of numbers, well, it's not just made of numbers but also letters too. It's what they call scripting/programming language, but that's as far as I can explain it because I never had the patience to learn it myself, as it is a very involved process.

Lester: *listens carefully to rules* I see! This does sound like a wonderful game. I would very much like to try my hand at it.
These devices require a language of their own? That does seem frightfully complicated. *he chuckles* Perhaps it would be better for me to experience it than try to understand it. Though, we can save that for another time in favor of Parcheesy.
Now, I must ask, are there different colors for the game pieces? I have a spot of trouble with distinguishing some colors; red and green most notably.

Yes, experiencing video games & technology is generally better than trying to understand how it all works ahead of time. You tend to form an understanding of it through experience. Anyhow, yes, we shall hold off on the video games for the moment and start with Parcheesy.
To answer your question, yes, each set of game pieces are a different color. There are red & green, but there is also blue & yellow, which you should be able to see with no problem. I can also add some symbols to each set of game pieces, using a permanent marker, in order to help you differentiate them all, since there are two colors you can't properly see. I'll just be lazy and mark the the red pieces with R, the blue ones with B, the green ones with G & the yellow ones with Y. That should help.
(I apologize for belated IC response. I was busy trying to stay warm the past day or so, due to an insane temperature drop here in the mountain town that I live =P).

Lester: Oh, please do not concern yourself over it. It is simply something that is part of our lives at the moment. *whimpers apologetically* I truly wish that I could stay. You thoroughly brighten my mood. Fare well, and stay safe while you are in these woods. *scurries away, shoulders hunched in dread*
Lester: I suppose he could be considered tall, but he is not terribly wide around the middle. It is a wonder that his insides are not thoroughly pickled by now. I suppose one builds up a tolerance after half a dozen centuries or so. I do not understand why Moth holds onto him so tightly. He hardly serves any purpose to her when he can hardly walk a straight line.
Lester: *shakes hands while carefully keeping his claws from making contact* I have not been what most would consider good for a long time, but it is a very kind thing for you to say nonetheless. *he smiles* One can never have too many friends, and I would be honored to consider you one of mine.
