There are very few series I actually keep track of (mostly Ghost Rider, X-Force, Deadpool, and, to a lesser degree, Spiderman) but I know enough of current events to know what's going on in the Marvel Universe.
Tis cool, I'm just saying that I like him better this way rather than moping around like he was after he lost the Symbiote. Trust me, chances are he'll probably end up becoming Venom again by the end of the year. I mean out of all the symbiotes Eddie Venom was by far the coolest!
Carnage was alright, he kinda struck me as the Joker of the Marvel universe. Personally I liked his offspring Toxin better though, it's cool to finally have a hero with symbiote for a change (Hybrid doesn't really count)

Toxin was a pretty cool hero. I especially enjoyed the second limited series he was in that focused around him coming to terms with his symbiote. I wish they would do some more books with him in it.
Eddie was the symbiote's best host period. I don't particularly hate Gargan as Venom, but Eddie as Venom had a lot of good qualities that Gargan lacks. Still I like Eddie as Anti-Venom, too.

Sadly I only have about three of the six issues in that story line so I haven't been able to read the whole thing though I know how it starts and ends. I wouldn't mind seeing him pop up again from time to time like Eddie or as part of another group. Of course since he's a (ex)cop and he registered during the Civil War arc he'd probably be part of the Thunderbolts in one form or another so either way he'd likely wined up fighting Spidey or one of the other good guys. One thing I don't really like about Toxin is that they made him too bulky, with Venom it was fine because Eddie started doing all sorts of bodybuilding to go Arnold but I've seen what Toxin's alter ego looks like, he should be a little more filled out then Spiderman but that's about it (probably around the same build as Dark Reign "Spidey")
I got nothing against Gargan, but he's just not Venom material. He looks different (stupid), acts different (stupid), and doesn't even have any powers that could distinct him from the original Venom. I mean weren't the Symbiotes abilities suppose to vary depending on the host? I mean just look at Carnage, Toxin, and Scream! At least Anti-Venom has some slightly different powers/outlook to keep him from being another carbon copy ripoff.
