not crazy about the gunshot snare. Mabey if you had it cut by the kick or varied the sustain length a little more. I liked the second half better than the first.

Well, the gunshot is sort of relevant to the song. In the original the whole theme of it is some kind of battle, and you hear gunshots and explosions and all sorts of fun stuff.
