More like a character based on Judy, but some different features, such as being an ex Marine with an prosthetic arm and leg, and being a mother of a little girl.

That little Judy Hopps doll is a tip to from the hat to Disney for creating Judy.

I should note that "Total rip off" means I stole the idea and claim it's my own idea for money.

I will say that I don't make money off these comics, and that I did create a character based on Judy, but I did leave an Easter egg that says admits her creation (Amy's Judy doll).

Either way, if a character is really good, sometimes you want to create your own character based on what you like about what you saw in the movies or TV.

When I created Rex Brunel, I like foxes because Disney's Robin Hood.

There's something about these Judy Hopps rip off characters that just screams "I have no imagination" moreso than most other ripoff characters and I'm not sure why.

I can explain that with, a little back story about Rebecca; for a while, I was planning to do a strong bunny character for a while, even when the movie was premiering (I think). And I did an drawing of Rebecca in my old style (which is a little weird to look at now).

Now I will say while I copied Judy's head design and career for Rebecca, it's probably because Judy is such an awesome character to begin with. How many female leads in Disney movies have a real career, doesn't find true love, and even does things that are almost selfish, only to apologize later. Very few, and that's why she's awesome.

My Rebecca Sinise, on the other hand, has some things Judy doesn't have. Judy is obvious single and not interested in love. Rebecca was a some point, and even got pregnant that led to her daughter Amy being born. She also loss her lower left arm and almost her entire left leg during her time in Afghanistan as a Marine (which I will explain further someday). You could almost say that Rebecca is Judy Hopps if she was created by Marvel; a tough character with a lot more issues than what we normally see.

I mean, that's cool and all, but it doesn't exactly refute my point, either.

I understand that, but I believe that's been going for years, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Star Fox, the list goes on.

We have limited imagination, Not a whole lot, but just enough to be more than copy cats.

Speak for yourself, man. One of the reasons I like this fandom is because it has people who are artistic and imaginative enough to create entire worlds from their own mind. They don't have to piggyback off already created material.

Same here, but at the same time, some ideas have their roots in established material.

And that's fantastic as long as you can use it as a jump off point for your own material. Recolors and characters who are other characters with a couple changes here and there are just lazy.

There's one of thing about her that I forgot to mention: If Zootopia, how many charactrs are seen wearing shoes...or have more human anatomy?
