Thanks. I studied mammal anatomy last year, so I was trying to make sure I gave special emphasis to the defining characteristics, such as the therapsid window, which exposes the braincase (the large hollow behind the eyesocket), and the sagittal crest above it.
Large muscles attach to the crest and run through through the therapsid window onto the jaw, which is why mammals have a strong bite which they can adjust for precise chewing.
