Not being used to a wheelchair, my arms were sore and the hot air in the sky bridge made my tail dry, I was happy to have a pool just around my room to freshen up a bit and swim around :)

You've gotta remember to keep your tail moist. The mermaids that I know tend carry a spray bottle with them so that they can periodically keep their tails wet while they're not in the water. Next time, try spraying your tail with water every so often, and that should help keep your tail from drying out. :)
