Rokki's facial design lends a lot towards a Western animation influence instead of a more Japanese/anime influence as some may expect it to have. There's a lot of Bluth and Warner Bros. in her inital designs. Her general fur color would also see changes as the years go by. At points in 1997, her fur pattern can be seen changing on the arms from a darker warm gray/brown color to her entire arm being that color.
