Timberwolf took this photo a few months ago during one of my visits to his place. This is one of my favorite photos of me and brings back wonderful memories.
I was taking some of my infamous shoddy webcam video/photos when this was shot. Killian the wolfdog looks on as I take his photo.
Take a look at Timber's photography on DA: http://timberwolf4u.deviantart.com/ Lots of canines and lots of fun. Thanks to T for allowing me to post this here! <3
Also the Redwood Pack youtube (with several vids that have me looking really silly): http://www.youtube.com/user/TheRedwoodPack

Killian and the rest of the Redwood pack are high percentage wolfdogs (there is tons more information on them on Timber's DA page) and I believe they have malamute in their background.
When they come in close I bury my face in their fur. When I visit the pack, the rule is let them come to me and not lean in and grab at them. It's their turf and personal space, so when they are near I hug them and get kisses. When they are done with me, i get the pleasure of just watching them interact and waiting for the occasional nuzzle. They seem to really enjoy meeting new people. :D

wolfdogs arent actually wolves, it's a type of husky breed, breeders take the animals and breed in the traits the "wild" type have, wolfdogs find humans more appealing then their wild cousins- the only reason the "wild" type loath us, is because we have hunted them to extinction in many places, a person can actually be absorbed into a wild wolf pack, but you have to prove you arnt a threat
