Been getting a lot of beautiful poetry comments from QuentixStarwing http://www.furaffinity.net/user/quentixstarwing/ on some of my work. Definitely appreciate it, so offered to do a gift art of whatever works for him. In the end he wanted an image with his Renamon OC Eitsuri smiling at my Mewthree, Swadeaqua. Background wise, he said something with cliffs and sky. Evidently, I did actually get a picture to a sloppy shading phase before I realized I hated it since it was too generic. I can do better. So playing off of the cliff idea, and overkilling it, I scrapped the "looking at each other" for looking at something grand (not each other). http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21948581/ is the "original".
One of my fav songs is "Rockface Rumble" from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble (SNES version. GBA one is awful!), and it utterly inspires me. It's such a sweeping song and sounds great if done with electric guitar rifts. I've never done a picture with canyons before, despite how badly I've wanted to, but never found an excuse to really do one. Heehee, I've wanted to do one since I was 10, and finally have one. Very, very happy I swapped in for it. Checkbox on my artistic bucket list finally done. Very happy. Not sure how this fits with the image, but color wise, it helps. It's just more interesting to look at regardless.
Reference, reference, reference and mad amounts of blotching everywhere. Sort of wish Eitsuri and Swadeaqua were more color compatible, and yellow didn't stand out so much, but there was little I could do with it. Kind of don't notice her in the picture, but being a gift art, it should be less about my character anyway and more about his, so really happy with it. Also finally, my first Renamon without breasts. I am so happy! Happy, happy happy!

As I imagined, a beautiful sight indeed! Remains as inspiring as I am blown away by the image! Almost instantly I am touched with a title that I shall call: "To Gaze at Infinity's Edge". Here I go!
--
To Gaze at Infinity's Edge
Over an edge where one may stand
The precipice seems wide and gaunt
Jagged and unforgiving as the brunt of life can seem
Perhaps unfounded, the one is not unhurt when looking at its edge
But held within its grasp
That is the joy of a pair
There one becomes two
At first unknown in company
When made aware a shock to the system rises
It is met by a tempering
Something between wills
Where the blue's edge embraces the brown
And light clears the shade, a sigh rises from one in yellow
A similar color to the light that had wandered the river blue
Scaled the stones anew, with a vigor undaunted by the task
In free stands curled horns, free wings, and a gentle gaze looks to the skies
For peace? Who can say
For duty? Who would know
For Honor? Who will find it
Perhaps just to be
Simply to hold at a breath's edge, a shared dance of infinity
Not with physical effort, if merely with company
Not through tangle of words, if merely through realization of place
There company is welcome and embraced by acknowledgement
A single look between the pair for a moment, before eyes shall wander in wonder
With ease in the heart and of the mind, they simply shall hold onto
To gaze at Infinity's edge, with hearts free and minds unhindered.

I can't thank you enough for drawing such beauty! goodness, I feel as if I could write three poems! Heh, but I think this one suffices, at least it is one of the best I've done in some times. I love the work! Eitsuri looks excellent, I think you've captured him quite well and alongside Swadeaqua before this rather epic sky, I can feel the peace and serenity of the view. While the two can sense one another, they only share the moment through its enrapturing glance, this is beauty's nature at work with captivating beings of all kinds.
I get this fine sense from your work, perhaps it may just be me in awe. But I've always found the coloring you use to like this title 'breathe' all its own, usually giving a new reality to the image itself!

I'm incapable of coming up with words for this, which is why I have you! Title was the fastest I could throw down. I needed something for the filename, no idea what. The original version bothered me, and you're the "picture is worth a thousand words" type, so wanted a more inspiring image in the long run. This is what I get for forcing a picture instead of letting myself wait for the creativity to strike, one thing that gets me the most about doing structured work for others. It also wasn't what was suggested, and going off the rails like that is not the greatest idea, but I figured you'd probably appreciate it more in the end anyway.
Glad it pleases you, and am still very happy to have made it for you. Don't have a lot of work like this in my Gallery, and it's refreshing to have some.

I am still touched that you enjoy my poetry so ^^, so the pleasure was mine to let it strike me (far as words are concern), I think its quite fitting. Possibly even better than my suggestion (heh I feel that way after viewing it!), as this is even more free. Quite lovely, and boy did I feel the creative bug bite after viewing.
