hehehe if i had her figure id totally wear that (only dresses like that and err diapers dont mix, so those type of dresses sadly are often not feasible, and her hair is done in a way that when im pretending to be groan up and fancy I often style it like that.

When I saw the thumbnail, I didn't identify her tail properly so I thought, "Did Gem cut a hole in the butt of her dress?"

HAHAHAHA part of me wishes that had been the picture now.

Then make a picture with gem cutting a hole in Star dress. Also, who will babysit Gem while Star is away?

This piece is so good!
This is the kind of art that I see and get jealous of and consequently pushes me to want to improve my skills.
First off your line work is really good here... Especially considering you're doing a reflection which is just a massive pain in the butt.
I mean, this is essentially a 4 character commission when you get right down to it.

But it's not necessarily your characters that doing the real impressing here, it's the background.
You meticulously created the background in both here and the reflection so well... That's just so much work...
I really wish I had a head for backgrounds...
I usually get to a background portion of a drawing and I throw some lines up and call it a day.
I want to make backgrounds like this.

I'm definitely going to be doing some experimenting in the next few days with some thinner lines and an attempt at more of a background.
Seriously though, how did you keep all those angles between the background and the reflection straight in your mind?^_^;

I did everything apart from the background in teh reflection. I thought it was finished and spent ages trying to work out what was missing then realised there was no background in teh relfection LOL. it was a proper pain in teh arse. I really reallllly struggle with backgrounds how to populate them and make them look busy. but recently because I know its a big weakness in my art ive deliberately been trying to add more detail into the background. it takes ages and it leaves me feeling exhausted afterwards but ultimately the more i do this sort of thing the easier it'll get. Kammy im super happy i inspire you. its ace to see you creating stuff and from where you started to where you are now...its pretty dang amazing
