This is where I went to infantry school. I used to spend hours looking at these.

Not so much lucky, there are lot's of armor on display all over the US. I was, and am, fascinated by the engineering of such heavy machines. All of them wear out very quickly unless constantly maintained. I was Anti-Tank, which meant that I was supposed to hunt T-72s with LAW rockets. I would look at all the old tanks and try to figure out where was the best place to aim for. Also, every weapon not used is money out of the taxpayer's pocket. We just recently built a destroyer for about 3 + trillion dollars that broke down and the shells are too expensive to practice with. (1 million a round). Waste is inevitable, but on the scale it is now it is criminal.
But yes, the Amphib museum is cool and really brings reality home.

Hitler actually gave orders to build this. Speer told everyone to forget about it behind the Fuhrer's back.

I've always had a fascination with Airborne and Amphibious equipment and tactics.
It honestly kinda boggles the mind whether it was in the Pacific or on the beaches of Normandy, the ability of the Allies to move so much firepower so fast without the use of conventional ports or airstrips is stunning.
Forget firepower it would seem logistics decided the war
