My entry for round 20, go see http://www.furaffinity.net/user/speciesxchange :D
I wonder why birds are so unappreciated witht he furres, when you see them around they usually have a lion or other mammal butt *laughs a little*
Also I recalibrated my monitor O.o The world is now sucha bright place. So from now on I guess my colouring may look a little different from before

Much agreed upon, the world needs more avian types. I have actually been on an avian kick for a while myself, working on an owl fellow who refuses to come out just right and always a fan of crows, even feed our local ones on a regular basis. I imagine birds are rare because as said, they can be tricky, I know I can never get wings just right personally.
Birds do seem fewer and farther in between compared to other types of creatures in the fandom... so do centurion type creatures. Wonder if those two were ever combined... *starts looking*
You did really well with this piece. I like how you make these entries look like they came out of some type of scientific journal with the tan/brown colors and sketches in the background.

Actually...I just put my fooot in my mouth with that one. Largely the card game attempts to keep with Mythos, so you largely only see anthromorphs that make some mythological sense. However, that statement is false as there are the Loxodon(Elephants), Rhox(Rhino), Cat People, Vashinos(Reptile/Dinosaurian) and Minotaurs also, throwing that statement out the window.
Ironically my species assignment for the dinosaur round is a bird... Go figure.
It won't look nearly as good as this!
This almost makes me want to slap a skunk-butt onto it and use it as my new fursona. :P
Also, you got a velociraptor. How kick-ass is that?!

:() well to those who don't get it.
a lot of people draw birds like they're some little meme or something "oh I'll draw a bird, there, never have to draw one again"
and people act like bird anthros have to be drawn as 85% bird/15% human instead of half and half like most other animals.
also it's not that hard, most people just say it is because they haven't actually looked at a bird or tried to draw one as compared to the 2034839528 dogs they draw
but the thing is, birds are the best imo, because you have the most customization. :A but it might be avian bias

You might be :b
Of course it comes down entirely to preference. You can't go hating on people for just doing bird spoofs when they rather have characters with a foxie muzzle or rabbit ears, they simply like those species better over birds.
And even if they do draw birds, the ratio of avian vs human is entirely up to their preference as well. To some, bird feet and wings as arms simply don't look appealing, but at least they're putting avians in the spotlight. Most species are drawn mostly human anyway, my characters (mammals mostly) are drawn with human anatomy for the most part, jst with fur, digifeet and a tail. The only thing 50/50 about them are the heads, which have both human and animal traits blended together. Otherwise almost all characters are typically more human than animal, probably more than artists would be willing to admit.
