This is also based on H20589's color version of my B&W work. He is able to see things about shading that I just can't wrap my brain around. The tail shadow in particular mezmerizes me when I try to work out why it looks correct.

The hair highlights looks great. All I did was use the blur and smudge tools a lot for her hair and honestly this looks better with your style.
But with the tails shadow I think I tried to make it fit the contours of her back, I believe I tried it curved the other way around and it didn't look right to me.
As far as the shading I just picked a light source that would show off her bum. X3 I did so with the other drawing to show off her front.
