Another older piece, but it's still one of my favorites. I was inspired by the works of David Mack who does a lot of graceful & energetic watercolor pieces for his "Kabuki" comics. I still have this tucked away as I've refused to part with it or sell it. I just need a frame for it....

Favorite of mine as well, in fact the first piece of your work I distinctly remember seeing. The overall feel and flow of the pose really works well with the watercolor softness and the palette you chose. It emotes well, and you mixed gold-browns and green-blues without turning it muddy, and actually increasing the overall 'brightness' in the piece.
Wow, that's excellent, especially considering the date listed. I would be terrified to show off my 2003 stuff. XD
Typically, when I critique, I try to pont out strengths and weaknesses of a piece. I've been looking at this for a while, and I can't seem to come up with anything negative. I think the best part about this is the choice in mediums. The watercolours splashed on to the canvas, flowing slightly outside of the lineart, really does give it a dreamy feel.
