In a Zootopia universe, you'd be very unlikely to ever see theater seats like that. They'd probably be murder on the back.
It would be interesting to see the answers they did come up with. After all, the easy answer is a lower arch for the tail to pass through. But...those theater floors can be so nasty...especially for one's fur to lay on top of.
