This came about due to a comments string between myself and

dragoncores about my habit of putting tiny leaves in hair and manes. I threatened to do a dragon with the same grooming issue and ... here it is.

I found the secret is to stop using watercolour paper to do artboard's job (which I was trying to do earlier and getting patchy results). I found a lovely 180 pound stock that's nearly like artboard. It's a bit pricey but worth it.

Normally I don't use orange in things--- before I added the brown tones he was nearly neon orange! Mercifully he dulled down a bit.
What I want to do is start using Magenta. I never seem to use it. It's like I'm scared of it or something.

Funny you should mention the colours - I actually did not intend for him to be so very very orange. Normally I'm afraid of colour. It's the commitment or something Anyway, he kept getting more orange and finally I just gave into the inevitable and went with a fall theme.

I never would have thought to consider it a 'grooming issue,' haha, though it is pretty. Whether intentional or not in the long run, Im glad you decided to go full force with the colour. When used correctly, here being a good example, colour is wonderful!

He turned out a bit more orange than I anticipated.
And again ... what is it with me and LEAVES?!? I swear I don't walk around in real life in a cloud of them. I don't even own a tree.

Note the ever-present leaves and berries. I have this literal compulsion to plaster leaves on things. And berries. Red berries. Maybe I was scared by a cranberry bush as a child or something...
