This is a gift for
Ilkarin. Been wanting to do something like this for a while now, but every time I tried, I wasn't satisfied. Went with a slightly different coloring style than normal, and I actually like it better than what I've done in the past! The green blotchiness in the lower left is a failed experiment/ lazy attempt at trees...
Overall, I'm satisfied with it, and I hope you like it!
Also, I have a theory as to why one never sees pictures of Ilkarin whilst she fights. I think it's because it is easier to tell the story of the battle, than to draw a moving subject. As opposed to it is easier to draw when said subject is at rest, then to tell a story about something that is resting.

P.S. Due to a recent story, I wasn't sure if I should color Ilkarin red and yellow, or yellow and black... Eh, I can always change it later.

I'd stick with red and yellow. Seems to be my most popular color. I have worn a variety of shades over the years, so it's cool. ^.^
And yes, I do like it. I often see Ilkarin in such a pose simply because she likes to ponder about things.
And Ilkarin in combat? I could write that up I suppose, but it's always variable how primal she will get in the fight.
