Relationships:

He and Iceberg are good friends, bonding through their mutual love of the arts. They also enjoy board sports together, particularly snowboarding. Iceberg used to go to Vaughn's art university, but dropped out due to financial reasons. Because of scholarships, Vaughn continues to go there and gets study help from Iceberg from time to time.

He met Alex when he was in high school and they grew to have an unexpected brother-sister sort of relationship. Because of the nature of Alex's job, they don't see each other much, but occasionally do spend time together, usually hanging out at cafes and seeing movies. They think about each other a lot but since Alex is always moving and usually undercover, they don't get to mail each other or text. Occasionally when it's safe, Alex will call him, which is the only time they get to hang out. He regards her very highly and seeks her advice for his problems.

He and Rysk were friends in high school but don't talk much now during college. Rysk doesn't return Vaughnd's calls and rarely returns texts, and when he does, they're usually one word answers.
