an old character for the D&D game I'm running. Sister Kain was one of my first female anthro characters. She's been updated for the current game.
theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0imaSCnSuA
Bio: Born to a pair of kitsune merchants on the road Ester had a number of birth defects, a withered leg and a hunched spine. For this reason she was abandoned on the step at one of the captial temples by her parents on their way through. Raised by The Abby of Mann which concerns itself with protecting mankind (and other civilized races) from the monsters that stalk the land. Worshiping the Lord of Light and his saints.
The Abby refuses to abandon it's own. As such the Abbot set about helping the poor crippled babe left to him using his order's extensive medical knowledge.
Healing Magic restores the body, it cannot alter it. Thus Her legs bear the scar of muscular surgeries, and are constantly covered with long boots to hide the scaring. Her spine was mechanically straightens with painful braces during childhood and maturity. This was all done without anesthetic, as Addictive substances or blood thinning run counter to the order's values.
It is also for these reasons she refuses to have children, not wishing to inflict the deformities of her youth on her offspring.
Like all Abby Monks she learned the enthronements of the light and arts of swordsmanship from the age of 8. Leaving the Abby at 18, she's come to the blighted coast region knowing the far coast is infested with the strange and dark things.
I haven't be able to play her much until recently. Young and brave, faithful to a fault. She's practically immune to pain, well educated, and a pious zelot
