I love donks! Our neighbor, who is also an instructor at the stable here, has one named Bob. He's a sweetie.
I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to fit a bridle to one of them. The ear base is so wide. Do you end up making Frankenbridles, too?

The only tack I have is a driving harness which I had custom made. It includes a bridle design I cobbled together from photos of others on the internet. There is a snap and ring on one side so you don't have to bend the ears severely... Donkeys don't tend to take kindly to that. It works pretty well, though i don't really use it that much.

I didn't even think about the bending the ears bit. The most exposure I had to donks was when I was a kid taking western lessons at a local barn. There was a donkey there that we occasionally hooked up to a cart and drove around. His name was Skibowl and I was never the one that put the harness on him or anything.

I've got a leather sewing machine on my "buy" list for January and might lend my hand at trying to make some custom stuff like that.
