Meed was the last D&D character I made, and I mostly made her for the sole reason of being kickass. This was after playing D&D for a while, so I had gotten the hang of it. Meed was going to be my ultra-stat'd character I'd make just to be awesome.
MEED'S STORY:
Meed was the daughter of one of thirteen advisers to the emperor of the Republic of Nagma. The losing war with the southern tribes and famine had caused an uprising in the capital city, which soon led to rebellion. The twelveth advisor, Cujo, escaped north through the xuegāo mountains with his very pregnant wife. She gave birth to a strong baby girl, xiù jǐn hōng, lost in the barren heights of the mountains, lost from the roads as they had been taken by enemies. Perhaps by an act of god, they came upon the sacred monastery of the Ran Monks and offered their child unto them, as they themselves could not ensure the baby's safety.
Now, the Ran Monks never take women into their ranks. Whatever possessed the master of the monastery, gko, to take the child in the family of monks is unknown. Perhaps his good intentions turned to the worse. The Ran monks never cooperate with outsides, nor accept them out of the usual ritual limitations, but gko took the child anyways. He kept her secret from the other monks, knowing they would all not approve of a female in the monastery. Whatever became of her parents is unknown.
The child was raised and trained from birth in a hidden alcove in the mountains, accessible only from the hidden passageways that were woven into the icy rock under the monastery. Gko taught her the ancient martial arts passed down from era to era. Gko taught her the Iron Skin technique, which became her most recognizable trait. Swords and spears would break against her skin. Her fists could poke holes in shields.
For whatever reason, the child, who had grown now to be 20 years of age, escaped from her training in the monastery and is loose in a world she never even knew existed. While the girl had mastered her skills in fighting and defense, she never seemed to submit to discipline her strong desires and is completely out of control. She wanders at random, adventuring not for money, nor fame, but for simple amusement. She's completely insane.
I'll you the story of how she got her name later. :3
