[COMM] Shimmering mountain peaks
Commissioned by
Paltala for himself and
Hashire. Comes with a story, too. :)
“Come on, there’s not much more to go.”
“I’m exhausted. Just how many more of these things are we climbing today?”
“Ah, just a few more. It’ll be fine, you’ll get over them.”
“I’m just...tired. I want to go back.”
The Vernid, Hashire, was so tired that she slumped down to her knees. Harsh pants escaped her lips, long tongue lolling from her mouth. She wasn’t used to hiking, having been pulled out by her friend. The warm and sunny day was starting to come to an end, the sun slowly setting and sending rays of light across the sky and the ground. Wildlife littered the area, birds and butterflies and rabbits, all coming out to see who was around and what the commotion was about.
Christina, meanwhile, was more used to this. Younger than her friend and may not have gone through some of the trials and tribulations of life that Hashire had, but hiking was something she could do. She had a smile on her face while she crouched before the Vernid, the feline breathed easily, glancing around a little before looking back as the wind whipped her hair to the side.
“Oh come on hon. You’re nearly there. I know it’s been tough, you’ve been through a lot, and yes, there’s more to go. More peaks. More valleys. Wind, rain, snow and all the rest. But look at how far you’ve gotten so far!” Christina turned and motioned to the beautiful scenery around them.
“I don’t know if I can do it any more.” Came the reply from Hashire. “It feels like every time we make any progress, there’s yet another peak...it’s unrelenting.”
“Hon. That’s life. And that’s hiking. Now come on, let's catch that sunset!”
With that. Christina held her paw out for Hashire, ready to help her friend get up and carry on with their day.
