Dont ever listen to the people who tell you how to do what makes you happy!! You loved it and thats honestly all that matters!! Im so glad though that despite the way people have treated your previous head you still stand strong and adorable!! Can wait to see what more you do~
It did help me to learn some pretty good new tricks when it came to making heads. I had never made a moving jaw that worked successfully until the latest head (unless you count the third head who had one made from cardboard I suppose). Had I not be driven to make a new one, I would not have learned how to do that. :)
