Wanna tip for getting females quickly? have a Sylveon at the front of your team. Cute Charm alters the female to male ratio to 2 to 1 (that is, 66%), regardless of what it was before. You're sure to find a female in only a few minutes.

It's the shiney part that's the problem. Mass breeding is your best bet, in which case, use the hot spring island in Poke Pelago. Fully upgraded, you can incubate up to 18 eggs simultaneously.

Cute charm wont work for mass breeding in Poke Pelago, will it? Perhaps could use the Sylveon to SOS chain for shiny, would be longer but has a better chance that IF you get a shiny, it would be a female shiny.

Mass breeding for the pelago relies on quantity over quality. Cute charm just gets the ball rolling with a female; acquire a male from another trainer and you'll boost breeding rate. If it comes from a different language game, it'll also boost the chances of being shiney. So if you get a japanese male salandit, and catch a female for yourself, then mass breed using the hot springs to incubate, it's only a matter of time.

Even without the mass breeding, using the cute charm method will keep the majority of your wild finds female, so any shiney you meet i nthe wild has 2:1 odds of being female. So... yes, even without mass breeding, it will help the grind.

Wasnt trying to be catty about it, sorry. Still trying to figure out this game. I haven't unlocked the full spa but I should complete that eventually since I am trying to fill my dex for a shiny charm. Atleast I have two options to go about this. Are you able to tell if a pokemon is shiny from the palego sprites or do you have to pull up each of their summaries to tell?

Not sure. I've played every generation since the first, never caught a one legitimately, and never seen one in S&M (hurr |3 ) yet. I make a habit of poking at any wild that hops up onto the beach though, so I imagine I'd see. So far, I tend to get a ton of poliwag. @_@

Yay luxury ball! My team is always in luxury or premier balls, if I can help it, unless there's a particularly fitting theme ball that'd work really well. Like a dive ball for a Kingdra, because it bursts open with a spray of bubbles.
