While Varh is willing to help others (like animals , humans or anybody else) he has hidden his own struggle against darkness and against the one who torments him. Thanks. I wanted to try an art like this as Varh puts his own pain aside to others and hides when helping for example Dupe or anyone else as he doesn't wanna put any of them in danger as this masked guy is quite sadistic as he threats to hurt Varh and his important friends. as Varh has darkness inside him the masked man tries to control him and make him to be vessel of the darkness so he can use Varh and his powers to destroy everything as he believes nobody will rescue Varh or be able to it.

Jeff, Duplex and Varh vs Nightmare part 1:
Varh: Who are you? (More terrified than curious)
Masked Man: I go by many names. I have worn many faces. I have lived for many millennia. For you though, I am your greatest nightmare!
Varh: W-What do you want?
Masked Man: I want your soul. (Pointing toward Varh) It is the key to my return to power.
Varh: (Starts to run) As if I'd ever let you have it!
Masked Man: Have it your way then. (Transforms into an armored knight; pulls out a mace and casts a paralysis spell on Varh)
Varh falls to the ground hard.
Varh: (Groans and gasps as he tries to get up and walk, only to tremble in fear as the azure clad knight approaches his victim with mace in hand) N-No! Please! (Raises his hand)
The knight is about to deliver the final blow when a gold brown blur attacks the warrior from behind. The blur turns out to be a german shepherd/fox hybrid.
Varh: Duplex?
Duplex: Who are you and why are you trying to hurt my friend!?
