A lot of people say that this Godzilla design is bad due to the small eyes or the small arms and because it's their opinion, I won't argue with them.

But in my opinion, this Godzilla design is the greatest I've ever seen. It perfectly shows what Godzilla is: a creature horribly mutated by nuclear energy that has taken the form of a being who will bring death and destruction where ever it goes.

Shin Godzilla is the Godzilla movie I've always wanted to see- I'm a huge fan of the original idea of Godzilla being a living representation of the horrors of nuclear warfare. The fact that the new designs make people uncomfortable is a huge win for my own opinions haha.

I still really enjoy some of the goofier Godzilla movies (the Heisei series was good fun, if hilariously derivative) but I've wanted to see a legitimately threatening Godzilla for a long time (GMK Godzilla comes close but Shin Godzilla takes the cake for me by being as realistic as possible).

I know. The thing about Godzilla I think some people have forgotten is the type of being he is. He's a destructive being that views everything around it as a threat or an annoyance.

And I do enjoy watching the old Godzilla movies (except the shit from 1998), but here's my Top Five Godzilla Movies.

1. Tie: Gojira 1954 and Shin Godzilla

In my list, 3 of the movie had Godzilla as the only monster and in those movies Godzilla always causes massive destruction and you watch people die. Those movies have a horror atmosphere to them and a mood were no one can joke around and focus on how to stop Godzilla (which they do, but we all know he'll just keep coming back XD.) Godzilla is a monster of death and destruction right from the begin in 1954 and Return of Godzilla and Shin Godzilla did great to capture that.

This is probably the freakiest fanart I’ve seen of Shin (and that’s in a good way, as it reminds me of the first reveal which of all the official images I’ve seen, I find that one the most creepy)

Thanks dude! This picture is a sort of study of the main promotional pictures for the film, as I heavily referenced them for the pose and lighting. Those are my favourite images of this Godzilla too, really captures his creepy expression and uncomfortable stance!
