The idea behind Tia is that she is a powerful and evil dragoness that has toppled civilizations and devoured countless lives.
In reality though most of that is untrue. Tia is very cunning and smart, often manipulating people to do what she wants. Fear is her greatest weapon and she use's it well. Often she will devour some one before starting discussions (as seen here) or cause some sort of chaos some where.
This would be only if you provoke her though. If you let her do her own thing and live her own way...you would be more or less ok.
