All the big kids are leaving again, where they go poor baby gem doesn't really understand but when they get on that big yellow thing they are gone for a whole forever, Gem wishes she could go with.

I kind of imagine Gem gets so curious of where the bus goes, that she sneaks into Zee-Zee's backpack when he or her mother isn't looking (since the mother thinks she's still sleeping so she goes grocery shopping while she's still sleeping in her crib, like in that one episode of "John & Kate Plus 8"), and she basically goes around the school exploring with her meeting up with different students and facility with different plots, like a young 5th grader who's flunking the babycare test of Home Ec so he takes cares of Gem to prove to his teacher that he deserves a better grade, an 8th grade girl who wants to be Gem's mama with her reluctant boyfriend to try out being parents, and an Old Male Janitor who admires Gem's curiosity as it reminds him of his daughter when she was her age
I dont think anyone would leave her home alone that's awful
Also not many school have preschool through 8th grade...and I'm pretty sure someone out of those would get her home...but the idea of her exploring the school is cute. Reminds me of an episode of rugrats I saw
