Painted back in ~2005 before custom mats were common/allowed. I guess that makes me a YuGiOh hipster :)

Acrylic, latex and fabric paint on canvas floorcloth. Paint is heat-treated to provide extra adhesion and chemical bonding to the canvas and each type of paint.

Final product is treated with special floorcloth lacquer and bowling alley wax. The technique used for this dueling mat is the same as used to create floorcloths and wall hangings.
