I would like to throw my hat in here with my experienxce as a DM; This seems more like a petty powerplay rather than actual DM'ing... especially since a Barbarian is, actually, one of the classes that promotes minmaxing. The Barbarian Rage class feature cutting all non-magical damage recieved in half means you can have a little less health and be fine. Druids especially promote minmaxing as their physical stats just don't matter dud to their ability to wild shape and replace them.Anyway, the pont is that minmaxing is, actually, an integral part of RPG gameplay and that a DM shouldn't penalize a player for playing the game with strategies for their stats.
