Updated for 2009, my workspace. From left to right:
~An A3 scanner (under a little leopardy bag) on the shelf, for large-format art scanning, and networked between the PC's of
scullyraptor and myself.
~Drawing surface, with 2 arm lamps for optimal illumination, and a central non-functioning lamp, with webcam ghetto-rigged to it, for live Ustream real-media drawing sessions. Whatever works! Some tiny little Akira figurines decorate the rear against the wall.
~Centerstage, you have twin ViewSonic VA912 LCD monitors, currently displaying Photoshop CS4. Note the canvas on the left screen, and tools/pallettes/layers/navigator on the right. Beneath the monitors, assorted dinosaur toys, more Akira figures (this time of the McFarlane variety), and of course, 2-D, right next to my copy of "Rise Of The Ogre".
~Belkin Ergonomic Keyboard, and additional wristrest. USB ports on the rear of the keyboard are where I connect my trusty old Wacom Graphire II.
~Powering it all is my big green PC. Specs, for what it's worth:
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Service Pack 2 (build 3790)
Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. STRIKER II FORMULA 1.XX
Bus Clock: 333 megahertz
CPU: 3.33 gigahertz Intel Core2 Extreme Q6850 (Quadcore)
2048 MB RAM x4 (8 GB)
WD Velociraptor 300 GB HDD
WD Caviar 320 GB HDD x2
Graphics: MSI GTX 280 OC
Audio: Creative SB X-Fi card, through a most delightful Creative Labs 5.1 surround speaker setup.
Atop the aforementioned PC are a plush Littlefoot and Cera, some more little toy dinos, and 2 empty aluminum Surge cans. Ah, memories.
~MILKCRATES. The top has random tattoo magazines, How-To books, catalogs, and sketchbooks. The red one beneath it has Heavy Metal Magazines, and my collection of Akira comics, back from when they were printed in COLOR, vol. 1-38. Lovely stuff.
~The desk itself is an Ikea Galant. Beneath it, dinosaur slippers, boots, comics, Perfect Push-Up pads, prints, stereo, general artist clutter.
~Far right, Panasonic TV set from
warszawascream, which is sometimes used as an alternate monitor for my PC, when it's movie/music video/YouTube time. Beneath it, entertainment center with random game systems (not shown), and more piles of scribbled-on paper.

curious setup, albeit NOT unexpected for the most part... organized yet chaotic, makes me think maybe you're a wee bit of a packrat? if so, oh well what could i say besides it "takes one to know one" XD
Also, Bonus points for the Land Before Time plushes, and Surge cans, and Kaneda's bike...
