Unlike his X-12 Combat suit, Rkab's Main Protection is his Custom P.E.S.A, Personal Energy Shielded Armour.

Before Rkab was betrayed and taken prisioner in the Covenant Military, He held the title of Supreme Commander and with it a fancy but yet VERY durable set of armour. It was among the 4th generation of PESAs produced which held a relative balance between shield strength and re-casting time. Although the newer generations had a much quicker cast time and earlier version a stronger shield... The gen-4 armours had a balance that Rkab grew accustomed to... During negotations between Umbra about producing and manufacturing for him, They orginally requested his armour in the trade, But Rkab Refused and was stubborn enough to leave Umbras negotiations engraged, which lead to Umbra requested alternative alien technology in return... To which Rkab agreed.
