Nyxis's dragon design did not come easily to me. x'D I have to thank 
s0b for helping me out with really pushing the sharp-but-goofy monster look, and dragon references from Bluth's and Disney's works.
My favorite parts of her design: the dewlap/throat sac (I imagine it puffs out when she's angry and she honks like a flamingo or something), the raptor hindclaws, and practical pouch! ^^

Oh man, super busy here as well! I'm still in school, and I miss drawing which is what all the recent Nyxis transformations are: I need something to get back into the swing of having fun again, even if the holidays are the only chance I'll get at arting for a little while.

Sketch a little bit whenever you can.. I used to on my notes.. just scribbles here and there but it can help keep you in the swing of things and not feel so down about not having time to draw... I have been drawing a lot but its not really me stuff its work stuff and sometimes.. its nice to take a break and work on your hobby. Dont forget to do that every now and again, it can brighten your day a little. ^.^
