Some people have species they make up that no one is allowed to use without their permission- these are called "closed species". I don't want my art used in this way.

I don't see any problem with that. Do you mean an edit of the base or just "in the style of"?
People are definitely allowed to use the files for "personal use" stuff as long as they still follow the other rules (like leaving my credit on the base).

These aren't commissions, it's an already finished .SAI file. $5 isn't anywhere near enough money to get any custom work out of me.

No. It's using some layer stuff that would have to be manually reset in photoshop after converting to .psd, and I do not currently have a copy of photoshop to do that in.

When I -DO- have Photoshop, I'll go back ad add a .PSD file to all of the templates.

If we buy the Sai file could we convert it to psd ourselves?
If not I'll wait for the psd version, I'm more comfortable with Photoshop.

you can convert it yourself, but be prepared for it to make a mess of some of the masking and folders
it'd be a good idea to look at how it's all working in SAI first so you know what to check after converting
