Today my mate balorkin and i take our first riding lesson on a shire farm here in germany. It was breathtaking and now the horse virus infected me complete.
Sit in the saddle on a black shire mare called Jane wath a moment so full of joy and fun, i don`t find the right words.
Damn, endorphins running through my veins.
My camera thinks its funny and we have only a really small set of photos
Hum thats bad, i want my first RL FA foto from me on a shire horse ((
Not one photo on the horse or with me on the pic have survived.
So here one of the survivor, a shire mare, here absulote stunning cute foal and my mate Balorkin We take to long to look at both in the stable, so the stable owner take us in the box Thanks for that *g*
The Foal wath so cuddly, funny is that here mother want even more attention and pat.

Pssst: my family has a whole barn full of horses, 12 or so at the last count I knew. Gaming horses, though, not pleasure riding...
The horse virus is a fair one to have, I'd say, I grew up with it ^_^

Ah, yes, we also have min-horses in the family, though they are definitely not for riding *g*

Ich ja mal auch... bis es zu spaet wurde und meine Frau nach Hause kam. Mal sehen was wir nach dem WE geregelt bekommen. Montag bin ich aber nicht verfuegbar da ich (endlich mal wieder) Reiten gehe und danach auf der Base unsere ganzen Pferdedecken waschen werde. MAl sehen was dienstag "drin" ist.

Also ich bin Montag Abend nur ganz eventuell da..dann auf einem Seminar 2 Tage (Hotel aber kein Inet) und am Mittwoch Abend ginge es evtl. aber auch erst gegen 21 Uhr + weil ich mich doch tatsächlich durchgerungen habe nun regelmäßig in die Mucki Bude zu gehen Yay!
Und ganz ganz eventuell fahre ich doch Abends nach hause und schlafe nicht im Hotel..dann ginge Dienstag.
Also bleibt nur Mittwoch da ich am Donnerstag auf die MMC fahre und da bis Sonntag bleibe.
Und daumen hoch das du auch wieder in den Sattel kommst!
Und ganz ganz eventuell fahre ich doch Abends nach hause und schlafe nicht im Hotel..dann ginge Dienstag.

My legs....hmmm....i feel it on the same day. But it was my first lesson so it can be harder i think.
But today i was in the Gym, and NOW i known what i have done Sunday *g* Crazy, yesterday i have not much muscle ache, but now i know there are muscles i never used before
But yeah, riding sounds like really good muscle training.
When it goes on the trot first time and specially learn to get up in the saddle i know 2 things: Riding is harder than i thought and it will take a time before a routine makes it easier...for my body too.

A 4ft course would be a jumping course set at a 4 foot height- I'm a hunter/jumper rider so I'll spit random things out about it. You normally don;t see those big drafty horses doing such things, though warmbloods are the latest thing to show.
Hahaha, yes, posting to the trot is quite the action to get use to. You will start to notice muscles in your legs, back, and arms, that you normally don't use. Enjoy though, it is freedom of mind when you are on your mount, it is my heaven.

Was soll ich sagen, hätte man nichts unternommen hätte ich die Shire Dame auf der ich geritten bin noch Stunden weiter geputzt. Ich stand noch nie vor einem Shire, und es war atemberaubend. Irgendwie in Trance.
Balorkin wollte da nicht mehr weg gehen, ich mußte ihn irgendwann aus dem Stall zerren *g* Mir fiel es ja selber schwer genug :-P

Zeit ist bei mir auch eiN problem und die Tatsache das Balorkin 130 km weg wohnt O_O Das nervt vielleicht mal. Bis dato habe ich noch gar keinen Plan wie ich das anpacken will aber im moment bekomme ich es nicht mehr aus dem Kopf! *re umarm*
Aber ich weiß nun wenigstens das ich mit 25 kein späteinsteiger bin Hab mich da mit einem der besitzer (Mit dem männlichen Part) unterhalten und der hat erst mit 34 angefangen zu reiten
