1920/30's fantasy creature inspired by watching "Cabaret" for about the 5th time. The 2000 Broadway musical of "The Wild Party" was also an inspiration (the Michael John LaChiusa version, not the more pop-sounding Off - Broadway Andrew Lippa version from the same year, though that has some good music, too).
Another oldie - drew this in February '04, while I was rehearsing the role of Annas in a local production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" (no, I don't like musicals ;) ) There were a lot of scenes I wasn't in, so I had a lot of time to sketch all that grass in the backdrop.
I've given copies of this pic to the great Michael York ("Cabaret" film), Tonya Pinkins ( "The Wild Party", as well as "Caroline, or Change" and TV's "All My Children" ) and Lea DeLaria (jazz performer).

Are you volunteering?
*Brandishes tatoo ink needle thingy*
This will only take about 37 hours...Mwa-ha-ha-ha!
j/k, of course ;)
Once someone told me they were going to get a tatoo of "Escheresque Pleasure", which is also rather involved, but I haven't seen them since then, so I never found out if they did.
