good thing they didn't go for the original look of a certain anime series with overlong legs and eyes the size of a '73 Falcon GTX. :)
the original seems to be rather small, because the hand on the left is a bit off, especially the fingers around the staff, which could have used a ruler. and i think you need a little work on shoe design and the soles, too.
aside that, it is a nice idea, and maybe not that far off reality at all.

Regarding hte shoes, I was trying for the mile-high Shibuya-girl platform boots, but it was a combination of not getting a close look at them in Tokyo, or running out of paper on the page... :P
I agree with you regarding the staff hand, not one of my better efforts even though I redid it half-a-dozen times. Glad you like the concept though :)
