'Cause he's a mouse, get - you don't get it.

He wanted his character of the same name to be dressed as Alex Delarge from classic Holiday film, Clocks and Oranges: A War of Industries. I maintain that earlier versions of the face were better in terms of reminding one of Alex himself but this newer version is "mousier" which is...good, I guess? I don't know. I'm just waiting interminably for somebody to come along and reassure me. Probably not Roo.
I experimented with inking most of the lines so the end result looks more illustrated but not necessarily worse. I mean, it's not like my usual work is especially good. I tried to make the shirt kind of yellowish to better contrast against the character's white fur but that didn't end up looking as good, digitally. It's more subtle and in my opinion better on paper. Not sure if any of the orange markings should be visible. Most of his body is covered.
Digital version got some enhancements to make up for the quality hit always delivered by the scanner. The good news is that since I've been asked to actually mail this to Trazz he'll get to see first hand how it differs. Hopefully he'll prefer the physical version but then again, I don't know if it'll really matter. Enhancements include stronger shading and shinier eyes although I might try to add some of those to the real one before mailing it off.
The other day, somebody on DeviantArt called me a "mediocre artist." So, Trazz, this mediocrity is for you.
(But seriously, why did I change the fucking face, the old face was so much better, I hate myself sometimes.)
