Well, when you try to find a face and only find glyphs over fleshy, toothy, and blade-y textures, it hits the mind with that some optical illusion as the box that's 3-d and yet somehow always connects one of its front sides with one of the back corners. Except here, the effect's applied to a creature. Which loses a lot of the traits that define it as a creature and yet still resembles a creature. Pretty neat!
