Not sure if I should tag this as transformation considering how it's not really sexual, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Also hopefully the gif works. I think you need to full view the image for it to show.
It's a sketchy animation I did awhile ago of that werecat guy back in my gallery. Sort of a WIP I guess but I'm not sure if/when I'll clean it up. Here it is, nonetheless!

Heh... meh, transformation stuff doesn't always have to be sexual... though it does seem to have some sort of appeal that creates that undertone. (which I have been studying the psychological reasons for, since it's a personal interest, both erotic and "mundane")
That said, you have a fascinating way of depicting were-creatures... very, very close to the standard animal form, like, so close that, with a little effort, such as concealing the hands, and hunching the shoulders, they can pass as a true animal.
Though, if the size of the creature is any indication, there might be some difficulty concealing it, if the true animal doesn't match the increased mass of the were-animal... still, it's a fascinating concept.
The animation shows promise, and I am quite amused by the "magicians trick" of flicking a sheet or cape over the form to instantly become dressed. X3
Thanks for sharing some interesting pieces! :D

Hey, thank you for the comment!
I find psychology really interesting, so I'd be interested in learning about what you've come up with in your studies on that! I know personally I find it cool from a mundane perspective (pretty sure it's just from that perspective fdjghkfjh), which may or may not have to do with how I read a lot of Animorphs when I was young, lol
I've been playing around with friends in this world of were-creatures, so that's why I've got all these drawings and stuff with them. I like the idea of them looking pretty close to their animal counterparts, I guess since it seems more realistic to me even if the entire thing is just fantasy. I've considered changing their hands to paws/hooves/whatever since these guys end up running around on all fours a lot, but I think in the spirit of keeping them visually were-creatures and consistent with each other, we all kept their claw hands and stuff like that.
With the werecats I'm sure a fair amount of them could get away with looking like their animal counterpart at first glance, since there's ones who look like big cats like lions and such!
And I thought the cape thing was funny as well while I was drawing it, but I thought him suddenly having clothes would help make him look a little more refined instead of just standing up straight, butt-naked, lol

I could probably talk your ear off on stuff I have considered on the whole transformation fetish psychology aspect. X3
That said, if you are still interested, I could launch you a note that summarizes my theories on the matter (its kinda hard to get empirical, "scientific method"-based evidence on this sort of thing without way more resources and contacts than I have. X3 ).
I might as well keep an eye out on your gallery for more were-critters as well, regardless of if they are transforming or not ;) *+watch*
Also, your current avatar amuses me... it looks like an anthro hypnotoad, given the waves coming off it X3

If you're willing to summarize all those theories, yeah! I'm interested in seeing what sort of information you've been able to gather on it, since yeah I imagine it'd be pretty difficult to gather empirical evidence and all that.
You'll probably be seeing more were-things in my gallery for now 'cause I've got a fair amount of pictures I've doodled up for this were-infested world, so I just need to slap my name on them and post them. I've got a couple more transformation-type gifs that I might also post. Also considering putting some fanart here and some good ol' fashioned nsfw, but we'll see about those lol
Just so you know what to expect! Welcome aboard!
When a friend and I first made the frog character years ago he was supposed to be just this psychadelic treefrog with a cape. It wasn't until later I remembered the hypnotoad, but I definitely know what you mean, lol
