It all starts from first steps. I originally refer her design to a medieval armor and later updating it to look more mechanical.

I would say this is a good ref sheet. If you plan ever to color this in any way though make it into separate file then as well to keep this one safe around around. I think you did really good work on all the angles!

I don't think I would ever want to use my marker on this drawing! So a colored version would be a long time from now. And benefits of traditional artists is that we have hard copies. Art theft can be buzzed off by a photograph of me holding out the drawing.

Well maybe like making digitally the line art and coloring but... well I am unsure what you have access to but i would recommend using photoshop of some version at least. CS something cause at least I think they are in those now, don't know what CS stands for but somebody might share that info eventually XP I have not used this Sai-program but many recommend that too.

I would maybe. If I didn't suck at using a mouse. As for drawing tablet, I am gonna have to learn it if I can get it but I am not seeing myself using it in the future due to lack of interest. As far as I've experienced with though, SAI had a pretty basic selection tool compared to what's available in GIMP. Selection tool is like, the best tool to colorized without lining.

Well if I would say, I indeed recommend a tablet of some sort, not too big sized at least though. Not sure if A6 size but A5 maybe would be rather decent to use. Money might be issue with that then cause I recommend Wacom, I have one (now older model) that cost about 200 or bit less. "Bamboo Pen & Touch"
But yes each to their own now. As well to line art and coloring digitally, I prefer digital really cause of the layers use, making mistakes with coloring is rather forgiving... But depends how bad mistake you might make when it all has gone to wrong layer etc ^^"
