I'm not sure how to make him seem more unique. Right now he looks like any other armadillo I'd draw :l Though in the last pic he should look a little more nervous since he's more like a base engineer, not having much combat experience :j

Yes! The armadillo again! |3 Chicobo stole what I was gonna say; the personality and just the expression style is enough to take him apart from "generic armadillo". The life in a character alone is enough for that. :3

Dangerous job D: And an armidilo? I haven't seen many about but your style is excellent and clean to an extreme point.
Unique? .maybe try a visor? an earpiece? Those engineer fatigues are pretty unique as they are, but more gear might distinguish.
