Comment:
Behold the time (and money) consuming horror that is my 3D Design project.
This thing has been the bane of my existance since Spring Break and I am more than HAPPY to be DONE with it. The project was a sort of abstraction problem where we take one thing and stylize it/abstract it to where its still recognizable but still not exact. We also had to turn in a sort of storyboard or presentation poster along with it. This is mine.
The particular subject I chose was a fox. Really I had three choices but settled on this one as it was the easiest and most plausible. I really love this little guy, and I'm thinking of turning him into a character. If you can't read what the text says, I'll repost it here -
The Jeweler's Fox
The Fox, a creature of cunning and intellect, has been a central figure in folklore from all around the world.
The Jeweler’s Fox is an interesting little animal, known to some as a myth and to others as a very real creature. It appears at first glance to be a normal little white fox, but upon closer inspection it is more than it seems. Its downy white coat is littered with glass beads, shells, copper spirals, and shiny stones. A rather strange gathering of materials make up this little trickster.
As legend has it, a Jeweler that lived in the forest loved foxes and wished to create its likeness in gems. He set to work, spending weeks creating a guilded creature to rival even the real thing. Once his bejeweled fox was complete it sprang up from his work bench. Surprised, the Jeweler jumped as well, “You’re alive?!”
The little jeweled fox canted its head, smiled and hopped out the open window nearby. The Jeweler made haste to hunt after the creature, but alas, he lost its trail.
The Jeweler returned home, heavy hearted that his beautiful work had disappeared. However, as time passed, many people began to visit his rural home, asking about jewelry in the likeness of animals. And each time he created a piece, the customer would compliement on how he gave life to his work.
It was then he realized that all of this had to do with the little jeweled fox. Indeed, the creature had been running free and in thanks for giving it life, it gave him business.
To this day, the Jeweler’s Fox can still be seen roaming...
There's a lot I could have done to the outer frame if I'd had more time, but such is the woe of deadlines. :C Hopefully I get a decent grade on this because 3D is not my strong point. Anyway, enjoy!
