SOME BACKSTORY TO THIS PIECE
A little over a year and a half ago in my last semester of university, I used a large portion of my return to do the 3-day Skip Barber racing school at Sebring International Raceway. I went for the cheapest one I could find at the time, and it was on the modified course.
It was the first big trip that I did all on my own. I wasn't meeting anybody that I knew there and I didn't know anybody in the area. It was honestly the best week that I had ever had in my life.j
Not only did I learn how to drive a racecar, I got to put everything that I had known ever since I was a kid to use. It was the first time I truly felt that I could cut loose in a car. Sometimes when I am sitting around and can't think of anything to do, I go back to the cockpit of those little F2000s and bang out a lap in my head.
My father got me into racing when I was a kid, and I know he would love to do something like this. So at some point... I want to go back. It doesn't even have to be Sebring. I want to take him to do this with me.
Think of this piece as a sort of stream of consciousness on a full lap of the modified course for me. As you're reading this, imagine these words not even being complete sentences, but rather feelings... Instinct.
This is what I live for.
