This is my interpretation of Mount Purgatory from Dante's Divine Comedy: Purgatario from a far.
On the top of the mount is Eden and thus the "Stairway" to Heaven.

AN: this was going to be the background to a reaper concept but the background out matched the characters so I uploaded this as is instead.
Also the tools I used where; Photoshop CS3 and the mouse, all on one layer.
