The DeRatry family gathers to wish you all a Merry Christmas! :D:D:D
At first, I wanted to upload this much earlier, but so much got in the way, so I'm posting it now. At least I'm in time for the actual Christmas. Plus, this finished product is actually a remake: my first rendition was *terrible*, so I had to completely redo it (Charlotte's face looked ugly, and Ferin's dress was all wrong).
The general poses all are based off a promotional Christmas photo of Downton Abbey (which included a piano, some of which I copy and pasted onto this; I think you can guess which part ;)). I originally intended to draw a Christmas tree myself, but given my lack of time, I settled for finding an actual photo of one. I didn't want to spend too much time searching for one that would best represent what I imagine Christmas would look like for the DeRatrys, so I just picked the first one that looked suitable enough. There was another photo I wanted to use, but the resolution and size were too low.
Also, I was going to include Sorley in this, but again, time restraints. I figured I could get away with not having her since she's not technically a DeRatry. Besides, this gives us a chance to focus on the four core characters of the family. This whole pic is filled with hints about what their relationships with one another is like. And this is the first time we've seen some of them together. ^^
