*nods* it is good... and a truthful statement. sadly though i have run into to many people who honestly believe they don't need to..

History teaches most nothing, those that learn from the mistakes of the past are often ignored until it is too late. The camps are even denied to have existed by some fools. I'm just waiting for it to start here in the U.S. and it will start with a bunch of guys killing gays and nothing happens to the murderers. We already have people who conduct hate crimes in America. Just because you have an opinion you think is righteous does not give you the right to torch places or kill those your religious expression says is wrong.

True, as in the end one has to be willing to learn the lessons of the past, in order to avoid there mistakes.

Unfortunately too many think they know better. People who are open to those lessons are few and far between. I count myself among them as I look to the past as a gauge of what to expect from the future. I just wish OTR would hurry up and get back in vogue again. Some podcasts are getting into that sort of mode in making new material based on stuff that was done in the past, the Red Panda adventures being just one example, but not enough.

I was in Auschwitz on a trip, you have to be there and see to understand what was happening to people there.
