Having just shown this to  wruf we got to talking about the chest, which, really, is the only thing that strikes me as odd now... And he suggested something more pectoral shaped :) Basically, something which has a similar structure to the human pectoral muscle structure :) As shown in this picture: http://www.cosmetic-md.com/img/pages/muscles.jpg

A small note on the shoulder area as well... As you can also see on the back view, when raising the arm, the shoulder protection gets in the way of movement - maybe something akin to what's behind the knee might work up there? So that the top of the upper arm shield looks like the shoulder shield... Thinking that it might look well like that, too :) Something like that might also work nicely at the elbow, on the inside there as well :)

Other than that, i think it's really starting to get there! :)

nice idea. I'll ponder it with the pencil. maybe a collection of sliding pieces which resemble that muscle?

as for the shoulder blade I was trying for sliding plates, so on the right they are slid underneath the main plate. it looks a bit odd indeed, I tried to create even main plates for both sides. as usual they look odd now. :P also, the arm shiel is supposed to have some sliding pieces, too. maybe my pencilling is too washed out... ^^

The shoulder piece does come through, i'm more thinking the rounded section of the arm shield :)

aha. want it standing up above the shoulder pieces, sliding over them when the arm is lifted?

i'm more thinking rounded sort of like now, but in a way which enables it to fold up when the arm is raised :)

Ooh, it just hit me - the top knot looks maybe a little too much like, well, a top knot :) What i meant was that it should look more like the end of a fiberoptics cable with the fibers unsheathed :) In this picture ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/gserafini/198593956/ ) you see a bundle of fiberoptics laying on the floor with one end splayed, and a ring holding them together some distance in - imagine that ring being where the top knot leaves my head, and you've got the idea i do :)

no problem. but I think it calls for a darker background, so the illuminations become visible. looks like a session with a lot of white acrylics and some blue awaits me on the horizon. XD
