The Year's Recap
This year was Extremely rough for me. It wasn't rough for my art itself, but for me as a person. A lot of really hard
times had fallen upon me this year, and the only thing that pulled my family through it was that I could draw, but I
almost couldn't draw at one point, and still teeter on the edge. At the beginning of this year, I was surprised to see
such artwork for January and February. Those two months were the months I was unable to draw at all. My arm was
in a lot of pain, and you can tell since there was such a minimal amount of things I drew during those times.
January's art is dedicated to my mother, who is no longer here. She was an amazing person. February was for a
huge project for The Eevee Kingdom. February was when I started to draw with my Non-Dominant hand in order
to keep myself relatively sane at home while I couldn't draw with the other. It was really really hard at that time.
March there was a remake art too see how much I had learned. I shouldn't have been drawing that month, either,
but I wanted to really put myself to the test. I love how it came out like how I loved how the previous version of
that art came out. I've dedicated my life to art this past 3 years basically. I love to learn, and so I do. (Ha, I should
have been some type of scientist if all I like to do is learn new things.) I enjoy art, though. Makes me Happy. AT the
end of march, I got my Cintiq early for my birthday. (I also got Sin)
April, with the help of the CIntiq, I was able to recover enough that I could draw again (limited amount of times) and
really took off with it all. I was absolutely happy beyond belief. I also took a lot of my time to work on The Eevee Kingdom.
I was so happy this month. Then... my computer broke so that in may, I had to learn how to use Firealpaca, and rig my
setup so that everything would still kind of work out a bit. It's a bit rough trying to work with new programs. The best I
was able to muster during that month was all of you guys pulling on Sin's Tail. XD This was also the beginning of me
spiraling into an abyss falling in love with a character of my own. Oh my gosh I love my little demon there. He's horrible.
June was really really icky. Our family had to rely completely on me making art (This continued into August) in order to
pay for food and bills and such. It was really really hard on me. There was also a lot of pollen outside this year. The piece
I made for June was inspired by the horrible feeling of being pushed back while watching everything flow the other way
so easily, as well as the horrifying sight of a massive pollen wave I watched, too. This was also a speed paint where I
gave myself I think 30 minutes? or was this one 15? I can't remember. i should have written it down.
In July, the DA group SHining Eeveelutions was relaunched and paired with The Eevee kingdom. I made some artwork
for the group in order to give a good boost out to them. Then in August this MOST AWESOME event called Art Fight: http://artfight.net/
went down. It's a Yearly event where everyone throws art at each other. It was amazing. I highly recommend participating
in this event next year if you get the chance.
I'm glad to see that a Comic page was my top in September. X) I didn't think a comic would ever be up there. That's for sure.
October was filled with gore art this year, so naturally one of those had gotten in there. i wish I drew more like it. I didn't have the time.
And of course in November, I had to draw something fall related. I love the crunchy leaves. For December, I wanted to complete
a really big project I started like a week into the month, but it turned to be too large of a project and I could not complete it in time.
I am still only working on the background with 6 hours put into the piece. I can estimate that I won't be done for at least another
6 hours of work put into it or more. Probably a whole other month (For those who mightn't know how long that would take me.
It took a month for this first 6 hours)
My New Years Resolution for 2017: PLANS for the Future
Last Year's resolution failed almost entirely, besides bringing my character's worlds to life. I'm glad that things happened how they
did either way. This time, what I want to do is to try to complete some projects I've had planned. Future me, I want to see at least
ONE Ig animation completed. I also would like to see another extra animation completed, but with no specific as to what type.
Just do it. You've always wanted to animate, and now you have your chance. The Easier Ig to finish will be "Ig Flies" so it won't be
too hard on you to do. Just need a storyboard for it, and I know what you are seeing in your brain right now. Super neon. Wow.
After that, you can choose to do Ig of the Dead, How To's, Character ASk ANimations, or just derps. You did animate this year with
My Honey My Rules, so it's not impossible.
Also, I would like to see some more completed artwork with backgrounds just like a number of what you made for this year.
It's hard, but It'd still be something amazing. We have been playing DnD with so many various pieces of stories and epic tales
we can draw from. I'm sure everyone else can Expect a lot of amazing pieces from the crazy world our characters have been
playing in.
