I've actually been following this series for a while, but finally decided to make an account so I could start commenting. I've really enjoyed it so far. I feel a lot of comics focusing on this kind of thing kind of throw everything out the moment the relationship starts out and it just kind of happens, but it's been nice seeing characters kind of hesitant to pursue what they want, backing off to respect their friends despite their own desires, caving in, going about it in flawed but believable ways without people seeming like a bunch of idiots, and it's been enjoyable thus far.
I'll admit I was thrown off by the last page a bit because I didn't realize that when rain ran out,he just left his phone and everything...though I guess I should have figured that if he was just in his underwear unless 1) hammerspace is a thing or 2) he's one hell of a drug smuggler.
Ah well. My guess is that Rick will come to the cafe when the rest are together under the pretense of returning Rain's belongings but wanting to know what happened at the same time. Maybe Garret will start to be a bit hesitant because he felt he didn't give Tim a chance to formally come out with his feelings toward Rain. Tim I'd imagine will be happy on the surface but not come out and say how he feels, possibly having a moment to talk with Rick, who may either make a slip of tongue or let him know he had Rain's phone to know the two and maybe the split might be rick and Tim vs garret and rain in a way. It'd probably be a web of everyone kind of conflicted though most likely.
I could also see Garret possibly being a bit out of his usual self. From what I understand, the people he's been mostly sexually active with were mostly if not all physical deals for him, so I could see him having a bit of a different time since Rain is someone deeper he's wanted to be with for some time and now that he's got the chance, he could have a bit of conflict there. Fun stuff!
I'll go with my crack theory. The cat from the grade school flashback scene turns out to be Nora's new boyfriend and manager, the three of them have an orgy with Rick's wife. Cody disguises himself as a sexy, older stud to give his dad someone to be with, right after murdering Rain, and the comic book store supervisor masterminded all of these relationship conflicts.
